Movie Maker Instructions
Now we get to the really interesting part, where we put our pivot animations into Movie Maker.
- Open Windows Movie Maker
- File New project
Make sure you place items into Windows Movie Maker in the following order:
- Import>Videos - your pivot which is saved as a gif file - Drag your video clips down onto the storyboard
- Edit>Transitions: drag transitions down
- Edit>Titles and Credits
- Import>Audio or Music - Place sounds on the timeline
Note:File>Save Project
It's important to make your movie in this order. If you were to place the sounds on the timeline first then do your titles and credits, the sounds would move along the timeline and be out of sync.
Go to Find Sounds to get your sounds. On this site you will find short sounds that will fit actions in your movie clip. There are no full length songs, however you may be able to find musical instrument sounds. This is a great site to use.
Once you have chosen the sound you like, right click on the url (address for the song) choose "save target as" or "save link as" and save the sound into your folder on your computer.
You could use any music file that you have saved on your computer for your pivot movie, however it is often more realistic to have individual sounds that match the action.
The aim here is to make a short animated movie clip that is both humorous and interesting to watch.
Note:File>Save Project
Can't find your pics? Don't forget to change the file dropdown to "all files", this way you will be able to view any type of file you have in your folder.
Note:File>Save Project
Have you noticed that i've been reminding you to save your movie as a project? Do this often as you are working on it, we don't want to lose all of our wonderful work!.
Depending on which version of Windows Movie Maker you are using, either go to "File>Save Movie File" or "File>Publish Movie". This is how we do the final save of our movie.
Congratulations, you now have a finished movie - enjoy!
